How to use
Paste a list with one item per line — names, numbers, dinner ideas. Choose how many to pick and press “Pick”. With several winners, nobody is picked twice.
When you pick a single winner, a wheel of names spins and stops on the result. The winner is decided up front by a cryptographically secure generator — the wheel just shows it.
Is it fair?
The pick uses your browser’s cryptographically secure random number generator (crypto.getRandomValues) with a uniform distribution, so every item has exactly the same chance. Your list never leaves your device.
FAQ
How do I run a giveaway on social media? Copy the entrants’ names from the comments into the list, press “Pick” and record your screen so followers can see it’s fair.
What if a name appears twice? Each line counts as a separate entry, so a repeated name has better odds. Remove duplicates first with the line tools.
To split people into groups, use the team generator; for a random number, the random number generator.
