How to use
Enter the part and the total — the calculator shows what percentage the part is of the total. The result updates as you type.
Formula
percentage = part × 100 / total
For example, 30 out of 150: 30 × 100 / 150 = 20%.
Examples
- 45 correct answers out of 60 questions: 45 × 100 / 60 = 75%.
- A score of 42 out of 50: 84%.
- Sales of 250 against a target of 200: 125% of target.
- 1 out of 3 is exactly one third: 33⅓%, or approximately 33.33%.
