How to use
Enter a date of birth. By default the age is calculated as of today, but you can pick any other date — for example, to check how old someone will be on a school cutoff date or an application deadline.
How age is calculated
First the calculator counts full months from the date of birth, then the remaining days. If a month has no matching day, the month ends on its last day: from January 31 to February 29 in a leap year is exactly one month.
If someone was born on February 29, their birthday in non-leap years is counted as February 28.
Example
Born on June 15, 1990, age on October 19, 2026:
- 36 years, 4 months and 4 days;
- 13,275 days in total;
- 239 days until the next birthday.
FAQ
Why is the result one day less than I expected? Age is counted in full days: you turn a year older on your birthday, not the day before.
Can I calculate age on a past date? Yes, pick it in the second field. It can’t be earlier than the date of birth.
Do time zones matter? No, only calendar dates are used; the time of day is ignored.
